VIOSILQ grows high-quality mulberry leaves directly in the fertile lands of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai in northern Thailand. In cooperation with the Thai Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperation, we raise silkworms with farmers and produce high-quality silkworm cocoons. We use white and golden silkworms to produce cocoons all year round.
Along with cocoons, we also produce fibroin fibers, sericin peptides, and especially raw silk non-woven fabrics produced directly by silkworms and mulberry leaf powder all year round.

Silkworms used by VIOSILQ
The silkworms directly produce non-woven raw silk sheets during the cocoon-making process. The golden (yellow) silkworms, which eat mulberry leaves, produce golden filaments. These golden silkworms are a protected species native to Thailand. Golden silkworms contain beta-carotene from mulberry leaves, similar to the beta-carotene in tomatoes and oranges, providing antioxidant benefits.
About Silkworm Cocoons
Silkworms are originally wild creatures. Their life cycle includes stages such as an egg, silkworm, and moth. Silkworms make cocoons to transform into moths, remaining in the cocoons for a certain period. In the wild, cocoons protect silkworms from harsh environments—heat, UV rays, moisture, cold, and rain—allowing them to become moths safely. These cocoons contain more than 16 natural proteins supporting moisturizing, UV protection, heat retention, waterproofing, wound healing, heat dissipation, regeneration, and soothing properties. They also include glue ingredients to retain these proteins.
Sericin and Fibroin
Silkworm cocoons mainly consist of fibroin and sericin proteins. Sericin coats the fibroin.
Sericin is a protein component that is very similar to what is needed for human skin production.
During the process of making cocoon threads into fibers for clothing, the sericin is removed, leaving the fibroin, which undergoes several processes. The silk clothing we wear is made from fibroin filaments.
