KAVILAB is a South Korean startup pioneering the digital transformation of orthopedics through artificial intelligence. We have developed DeepPLAN, a software that utilizes AI to create customized pre-operative plans for orthopedic surgeries.
Our goal is to go beyond diagnostics and aid in treatment through AI-powered products.
We would like to introduce DeepPLAN A, software optimized for medical imaging analysis and processing. Its key features include:
1. Processing and anonymizing various medical data
2. Segmenting anatomical structures using segmentation tools
3. 3D visualization of segmented structures
4. Providing AI-based automatic segmentation features (currently for normal/abnormal bone structures) |
Our product stands out for the following reasons:
1. Specialized in segmenting desired organs from CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and X-ray images
2. Capable of segmenting a variety of organs including heart, stomach, kidneys, blood vessels, brain, as well as internal prostheses

DeepPLAN A, along with DeepPLAN T (trauma surgery planning software) and DeepPLAN K (knee joint replacement surgery planning software), are being used for joint research and clinical reference at major hospitals including Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital, Yeouido St. Mary’s Hospital, University of Ulsan Hospital, Kangdong Kyung Hee University Hospital, Kyung Hee Medical Center, and Korea University Ansan Hospital. Additionally, DeepPLAN A has obtained Class II medical device certification in July 2024, allowing it to be used directly in medical device production and clinical settings.
