Chosun Minhwa Museum is ths first Minhwa-specialized museum that opened in 2000 for systematic collection, preservation, exhibition, and research of Minhwa, Korean traditional folk paintings. We have been striving to introduce the excellence and for the popularization and globalization of Minhwa. The first Minhwa-specialized contest, Korean Contemporary Minhwa Contest has been held since the year 2000 with the opening of the museum.
