Korean Folk Art featured in this product are:

1. Ilwolobongdo
- Painting of sun, moon, and five mountain peaks. Used to be placed behind the throne as a display of king's authority, this painting wishes for 5 fortunes of life(Longevity, Wealth, Health, altruistic life, and peaceful death) as well as welfare of the nation.

2. Hodo
- Painting of a tiger. Tigers were powerful, valiant and menacing, therefore thought to be the sacred animal that ward off bad luck. Tigers were featured in many paintings that were used to decorate lunar new year, so that they could prevent evil spirits from crossing the gate of the house.

3. Morando
- Painting of peony blossoms. Peony blossoms were thought to be the 'king of all flowers' due to its size and beauty since three kingdoms period, therefore paintings of peony blossoms were exclusive to royals for long periods of time in Korean history. Nowadays Peony blossoms decorate people's houses as the symbol of wealth, prosperity, and authority.

4. Gimyeongsogwado(pomegranate/peach/buddha's hand/watermelon)
- Paintings of various fruits. Watermelons symbolizes success, fertility and prosperity, while peaches symbolized longevity in regards of the legendary magic peaches in East Asian mythology. Buddha's hands were thought to be the symbol of all good fortunes in the world, and lastly pomegranates were the symbol of fertility due to having many seeds.

5. Sugeomojildo
- Ever since Joseon period, paintings of cats were thought to be the good luck charm for longevity. Sugeomojildo, a painting that features kittens playing in the field of flowers and plants, was used to decorate rooms of newlyweds to wish for their prosperity and longevity.

6. Hwajeopdo(yellow/mauve)
- Painting of flowers and butterfly. Hwajeopdo often decorated women's rooms as symbol of harmony, prosperity, and longevity.

7. Whajodo
- Painting of birds and flowers, but later expanded its definition to all paintings that depicts other animals. Birds and animals in Whajodo often appear as couples, which symbolizes love and harmony of lovers. Whajodo was a popular decoration for rooms of young women and newlyweds.

8. Chaekgeorido(Pine tree/dandelion/dragon/purple)
- Paintings of books and objects that belong to a scholar. Chaekgeorido were popular among Yangbans and Confucian scholars, as they symbolized yearning for knowledge, art and academic success.
