1st Generation of KIA Bongo 3
The driving option had always been Kia Bongo 3 4WD with only an exception in a few versions.
In 1980, the small truck was first introduced in the market.
It was also named as Kiamaster which did last only for a few years of the first generation.
The standard engine in the first generation is 2.2L with power rate of 70 PS.
Another engine was added five years later with decreased capacity of 1.4L and configuration basis was changed from S2 to UC.
The SF Bongo III was also introduced in the same generation with an increased power of 80 PS.
This Bongo 3 with diesel engine was sold under the name of Power Bongo.
Its roomy cabin is designed for comfort.
The seats are designed with lumbar support in mind, and the power and tilt steering wheel allows for easy maneuverability of the vehicle and adjustability of the steering wheel's height position.
Moving to the back, the 3,110 mm long (standard) and 1,630 mm wide bed of the cargo with a low height of 770 mm affords both ample loading space and easy access for loading and unloading.
As for safety features, the Bongo comes with a rear warning system, electronic stability control (ESC) that provides optimized braking
and engine torque control through the monitoring of individual wheel speed, steering angle and skidding, as well as driver seat airbags (K2500 only).
