The product is economical enough to be used for vibration isolation and is easy to install due to its light weight
[Air Spring System Composition]
• A Leveling valve serves to maintain horizontality in step with changes in load and make up for loss of pressure in the event of decompression. Usually, its support at three positions is desirable.
• An Oil Filter and Regulator attached to compressor may be used without problems, but an Oil Filter and Regulator better be installed for each Air Spring to cope with abrupt changes in pressure and prevent an overload to the Leveling Valve.
• The Air Spring System configuration below shows a Mount(Isolator) System designed for vibration damping. When for Stroke(Actuator), a Leveling Valve is not necessary, but its use under excessive pressure has to be prevented by using a pressure regulator.
[How to Apply Air Spring]
• Air spring system needs to be installed in an optimized condition, considering its buckling (lateral deflection) since it has low spring constant.
• Air spring has to be installed on a plane level with the center of gravity of equipment.
• Even when air spring is installed on a plane level with the center of gravity of equipment, air spring has to be installed with intervals (width and length) that are greater than its height to ensure its stability.
• When it is difficult to put the product on a plane level with the center of gravity of equipment, air spring has to be installed with intervals (width and length) twice as long as the height of the center of gravity.
[How to Install Air Spring]
The top and the bottom of air spring have each two nuts and a fixed depth of 16㎜. These parts do not sustain great stress, but as they must serve to keep the position of the installed air spring, combining both the two taps with bolts should guarantee its stability. One precaution here is that the combining plate and air spring upper plate must be tightened together. Otherwise, with the inlet nut sustaining concentrated stress, upper plate may get deformed or blind nut incurs cracks, thus causing air leaks.
