PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
EPIC-R300 adopt Fault Processing schemes for Phase fault (A/B/C), Ground fault (N), and even Sensitive Earth fault (SEF). Especially, EPIC R300
supports protection and reclosing functions, such as 50 types of built-in editable TC curves, instantaneous & time-delayed protection elements for phase or
ground faults including SEF, auto-reclosing up to 5 shots, and sequence coordination with other devices. And, Cold Load Pickup and Inrush Restraint functions
distinguish the fault current and the normal load current. As equipped with fully configurable setting value ranges, EPIC R300 can be used ad Distribution
Automation equipment in various faulted environments for the rapid fault restoration and blackout minimization.

EPIC-R300 have powerful RTU functions, for automation system, such as monitoring of all the related status information, measuring of most of electric
values, and controlling of load break switch or recloser body, locally and remotely through the widely used communication links and protocols. Measurement
function of EPIC R300, for example, covers even up to True RMS values of voltage and current, harmonics up to 32nd and THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) as
well as general metering, since EPIC R300 have their voltage and current inputs from 6 PT's (3 PT's for source-side and 3 PT's for load-side) and 3CT's. Basically
these inputs come from internal CT/PT of switch body through control cable, but EPIC R300 series are designed to easily connected to external CT/PT.

EPIC-R300 have 4 different setting groups, each of which is stored with individual setting values, and operator can select Active Setting Group according
to the operational conditions. EPIC R300 adopt the concept of ""Two Step Control Command"" in local and remote mode. On remote control, SBO (Select Before
Operate) as well as DO (Direct Operate) function is supported. On local mode, LOCAL/REMOTE button is used for the local secure operation. And, the
enclosure door open or closed status is monitored even remotely and this information can be used for the recognition of unauthorized operation. When the
enclosure door is closed, LCD and LED's are turned off to save the power. Other optionally provided functions include Under Voltage / Over Voltage protection,
Under Frequency protection for load shedding, Fault Locating in kilo-meter, Endurance Index for switch wear-out expectation.
