Adhesive mortar for a special insulation materials (e.g., boards and mesh)
An adhesive mortar for a special insulation (e.g., PF boards and others) is an adhesive for special insulations or the EIFS, and it is suitable for attaching a special insulation or a fiberglass mesh. Two types of adhesive mortar (for board attachment and mesh impregnation) are separately provided, and they are mixed with Portland cement in a ratio of 1:1.
· Packing unit – (18 L): 23 kg±1/pl
· Amount – 2.3 kg/㎡ For the EIFS: 10 ㎡/pl
Process (Attachment of PF boards)
1. Mix adhesive mortar, cement, and water (1:1:0.08) using a 400–600 rpm hand mixer for about 1–2 min until the lumps disappear. The order of the injection (styrobond–cement–water) is important in increasing the mixing stability.
2. Basically, the mixture should be used within 1 hr, and about 2.3 kg per 1 ㎡ is appropriate. An attachment should be made before the surface dries.
3. During attachment, only a little force needs to be applied and the smoothness should be maintained.
