Bridge Bearings are equipment so as not only to transmit the superstructure's downloads to substructure, but to minimize subsidiary stress in the structure of bridge with harmonizing both the transformation and displacement of superstructure which comes from temperature change, creep of concrete, dry contraction and live loads movement and turn from impact loads. They work principally for the transmission of structural downloads, the resistances against expansive & contractive loads and the absorption of moving and turning loads. So they are used for both the delivery of structural downloads and the endurance against the moving and turning loads.
