The external fuel tank for T/TA/FA-50 was developed with a capacity of 150 Gal. Structurally designed safe for subsonic and supersonic flight, it was proven safe even in extreme environmental conditions and lightning shocks. An air pressurization type of fuel supply system was adopted. The composite material manufacturing process was automated using a filament winding process to ensure high resistance against physical shock.
