There are tens of thousands of ship wreckages lying at the bottom of seas and oceans.
Some of those are at shallow waters and on water ways, so are casting high risks to marine traffic.
In addition, most of the wreckages bears risk of environmental pollution due to their oil and chemical load.
Removing such pollutants from ship wreckage is a tedious process for salvage operators.
KOT designed one of the best devices to perforate holes onto the ship hull and dischrge the liquid content from therein.
It is called "Discharge Oil Supply Air (DOSA)".
KOT DOSA requires only one hole for every compartment/tank of the ship wreckage.
Our drilling technology allows very short installation time (20 min vs. several hours, e.g. 5-6 h) and use of one or two men underwater.
After attachment, either air or hot water is pumped in to push the liquid outside.
Operation at deep underwater points is facilitated by DOSA.
On the other hand, by supplying air into the tanks, DOSA provides buoyancy to the ship and facilitates lifting of wreckages tremendously.
DOSA Technical Specifications
» DOSA is made of stainless steel. Hole saw material is Tungsten Carbide (WC).
» DOSA tubes can be designed at various diameters. We proived 100 mm & 150 mm.
» Installation is complete within extremely short time (20 min).
» DOSA operates with air pressure which enables oil discharge from wreckages in very deep waters.
