The electrostatic precipitator is a machine that collects dust by using static electricity that is generated from the corona discharge using high-tension direct current to electrify particles. The said machine is available in one-x-layer type and two-x-layer type. The one-x-layer type has the discharging part and the precipitator in one body and is called Cottrell. The two-;ayer type has the discharging part and the precipitator separately and generates less harmful gas. It is mainly used for industrial purposes or as an air cleaner and requires high-tension direct surrent of either DC 10-12 KV or DC5-6KV. The picture and the graph shows the typical two-x-layer type. It is designed to be perfectly suitable for industrial or air cleaning purpose and is applied in a wide range of uses.
